LOL, smart ass remark but there's truth to it. The MIL is supposed to come on with the key on/engine off (KOEO). That's part of systems checks and if you ever do a KOEO and the MIL doesn't come on, you have a problem and your vehicle probably won't start. What I'm trying to say is that what your experiencing is normal.
