Question Manual Shift Bezel Problems

I am trying to take off dash to get behind my factory stereo, and I just can't get these dang security hex screws off of the shift bezel. I have tried the 5/32" and 4mm with two different bits each. I would appreciate it if anyone could let me know what bit they used. I am really screwing up those plastic ones trying to figure it out.

Thank you guys. I have used the forum for so much information.

You don't need to take the boot off to get to the stereo.

them are fake bolts, get a plastic screw driver and pry up under the front of the bazel.

its held down by two clips in the front, the back slides into place

to remove the radio
1. the flat top above the radio pop out from the front(by windsheild) it pops up from the back and then pulls tword you
2. bottom blank peice infront of the shifter pops out
3. remove the 7mm screws from behind both previsoly removed parts
4. pop off the whole dash from top to bottom , its all one peice
5. take out 4 screws that hold deck in
6. see its a can-bus system and there is no video our and get mad.
Be VERY VERY VERY carefull, the hard plastic dash is VERY easy to scratch, o suggest getting plastic pry tools or be extremely carefull

Furthermore, if you ever do have to remove the bexel and shift boot, be very careful. My former dealer wrecked mine as part of the throw out bearing fix and took some strong convincing to get him to fix it. Apparently, the tabs break easy and the boot tears even easier.
