Missing Wiring Harness - DC Makes Changes
Hey Groundrat....Not to be overly critical, but your green text is almost unreadable...Makes me not want to read your posts..
BTW, My 10/26 build has all the lights and harnesses...Good luck with that!

under hood matting is required by law when the vehicle is manufactured.
It is there in case of fire. the plastic tabs that hold it to the hood are designed to melt and then the insulation drops down and smoothers the fire. This is far more important than some courtesy lamps
I would be screaming and shouting at the dealer to get this fixed.
end of my point.

Even after taking the small pins out, removing the pad took a lot of sliding and maneuvering. I took it our to reinstall one of the hood windshield bumpers.

I'd like to use this info. with my dealer, if my JK does not have the matting. Do you have any reference for this? Is it Federal law? Some documentation would be great to take to the dealer.
Thanks
The build date on my JK is 11/9/06. My Jeep had the underhood blanket, but no light. The dealer noticed it after they took delivery, ordered it, and installed it about a week later. I noticed a little while back that I didn't have the foot well courtesy lamp. I said something about it last week when I took it in for service and they ordered it... no questions asked.
