Default Moisture Under Mat

I was wondering if anyone had a problem with moisture underneath their passenger side mat. I have the Quadratec mats. Whenever I lift them to remove the dirt, their is moisture underneath it. The carpet is a little damp also. I looked around and couldn't find any leaks. Could this be coming from the AC? Thanks for any input you guys have.

I get moisture under the mats. It could be from rain getting in from your shoes, condensation from the ac and exhaust temps meeting or from getting caught in the rain with your doors and top off like mine was. Needless to say there was about 2 inches of "moisture" in there.

Are your mats completely dried after you wash them? I had that problem and realized I wasn't cleaning all the water off after I put them back in. I have the same mats as you

I've never had any leaking issues ever with my JK Hardtop until very recently after we had a week of very heavy, continuous rain.

There was no sign of any water on the dash, console or seats, but I noticed the passenger side (driver's side in the US) carpet was wet, and traced the leak to the sticky rubber seal at the top of the door; rainwater was shooting off the freedom panel gutter at the front on the side and hitting the door seal at high pressure, resulting in some getting in and running down the door frame & into the footwell. These leaks are often hard to trace as the water isn't just dripping down in an obvious place like from the centre gutter between the panels onto the dash for example.

It's weird. It hasn't rained here in a while and also, It's only on the passenger side. That gets me to believe it's the ac. I'll do some more checking.

ME TOO! Even if it hasn't rained and I haven't washed it for a while. I have the quadratec mats and it was never wet before I put them in. Weird. I'm glad it's not just me though.

I wonder then if the outlet for the water drain from the aircon condenser isn't blocked with mud or something then, causing the drain to back up & overflow under the dash?

I remember reading once on another forum where I guy who was tracing the source of an underdash water leak found that a wasp or hornet or something had decided to build a nest in his aircon drain outlet pipe, causing the system to back-up & leak. Worth checking

After further investigation, I found that the floorboard on my passenger side is a lot hotter than on my side. Where I live, the humidity is bad and I'm no scientist but I would think this floorboard along with running the ac causes this. I didn't find any leaks or anything. I've only had my Jeep for 2 months.
