Default Mopar Mirror Relocation Brackets

Does anyone know if you use the mirror relocation brackets when you take your doors off if you can still leave the mirrors there even after you put your doors back on? My main concern is use and visibility of the mirrors.

If you haven't bought the brackets consider getting a set of Harley Davidson Long Stem mirrors and dropping them in the upper hinge bracket one acorn nut each and you are good to go. Part numbers are in my profile and they work like a champ. Mine were less than $60 for the pair. They do not vibrate or damage the hinge. Just my two centavos

Can't speak for the mopars but I have the rugged ridge and you lose a lot of visibility on the passenger side. I've found it helps some to put some of those little convex towing mirrors on the corner of the mirror, but it is still not ideal.

Unless they've changed the Mopar mirror relocation bracket since I bought mine four years ago, you only get one for the driver's side. It comes with a TJ mirror, too. I leave the bracket in place, and install the TJ mirror (one minute job with three Torx screws) whenever I remove the doors. It does not accommodate the JK mirrors so you don't need to pull them from the doors. But, you wouldn't want to leave the TJ mirror on while the doors were installed unless you were to rotate the mirror forward (that would look weird). You can see the mirror and bracket in this image ...

... and you can see the bracket alone in this image (wow, that was a long time ago!) ...

I do the same thing. Just drop the stud of the mirror through the top door hinge and secure with washer and acorn nut.

Not a great pic, but you should get the idea. I only run one on my drivers side.

I currently own the Mopar mirror re-location brackets. Very good quality and easy to install. They're a lot more robust than the "bicycle mirrors" too. The only issue I have with it is the passenger side mirror is not visible from the driver's seat when the doors go back on, so I don't use it.

I just installed the driver side mirror - laws in my state only require one rearview and one driver side mirror.

I have the Mopar kit and leave my mirrors relocated on the body year round. When the doors are on, yes, you lose alot of visibility especially on the passenger side. Growing up in and around NYC this is not a problem for me - learned to drive and check traffic by actually looking and turning my head.
