Default Multi Function Switch

My fog lights have been going on and off especially if I move the turn signal (multi-function switch) around with my hand. My turn signal has been overly activate and deactivates itself for years but I have learned to deal with it. But now with the fogs malfunctioning I will have no choice but to fix.

Is this a Mopar only item? Rock auto has WVE brand for $54 but if this is one of those I wish I got the mopar unit please someone reply back and let me know. Im in no rush.

There's a few jeep dismantlers on eBay selling these for cheap. I'd be tempted to go that route before shelling out $54 for the new from dealer.

$54 is aftermarket company on rock auto. I have no idea what the mopar one is. Prob like $80-$100 lol

Might just shell the $54. Good news is that my starter is covered under 1 year warranty on RA also so I can easily get free shipping and 5% to save a few $$ there if I get them together.

Did you do the install on this? Anything special?

I had mine out for adding cruise control. Nothing special at all. Getting the air bag off is less than fun but if you can find the pictures and understand how to work your screwdriver (90* tip), it's not bad.

Edit: $27 shipped to your door for the Mopar, albeit used.

Thanks again. I'll take it for that price. I'm hoping to find a you tube video for this one. I didn't think this involved the air bag either jeez.

While looking through my vids on my phone I came across this one....I guess I took it because I didn't know if my PCV valve was in all the way.

So I guess is this thing in all the way or do I have some work to do tomorrow?

I think the PCV sits further down in than that. I recall using a socket and GENTLY tapping it down. Removal was also a bear, nothing like where you just picked it up.

I think it sits further also and to remove old one was simple which means I don't think it was done correctly by the dealer.

Came out to take a look at it again thus morning and find my water pump leaking. I think I only got like 7-10k on it before it started.

2019 has been a rough year for your jeep.

On the newer interior I believe you can replace that without removing the wheel or the airbag and just by removing the steering column shroud. Do you guys have to disassemble more on the pre-'11 interior?

Lol seriously rough but it continues on for sure. It's definitely got 200k in it. I'll try and tighten the bolts on the WP to see if it slows the leak down. Lifetime powertrain warranty will take care of that along with the rear drive shaft and upper oil pan gasket. Just add it to the list for the dealer. lol

I'll take some pics of the multifunction switch install when it comes in.

What would you say if I told you I removed the belt and tightened the bolt right behind the belt tension-er on the water pump and my leak is gone. I guess keep an eye on it for a while?
