My first Dent.. stupid door!
Or, along the same concept, use the heat gun/blow dryer, but instead of a bag of ice, hold a can of that compressed air used to dust off computers upside down. This will give is a cold blast after being heated up. It will reach its coldest point faster.
Disclaimer..I've never done it nor seen it done in person. Just one of those youtube/google things.

Yup......it actually works VERY well. Thats the secret to all these hail damage/dent fixer guys. I didn't believe it either until I saw it work right in front of me. Works great for parking lot door dings as well
I've managed to avoid the infamous dent(s) while taking my doors off several (at least 10) times in two years of ownership ... but the best tip I can give is this ...
#1 When taking the doors off, it might seem like common sense, but park on a level surface! That way you stand less of a chance of the door swinging back and bam ... nice new dent.
#2 Have a friend help you remove/reinstall the door. I know it's not always possible to have a buddy help you, but I did it myself one time and it was an exercise in patience and stamina. I almost dropped the door on the cement and would have been REALLY pissed if that happened, as I'm sure most people here would be.
The doors aren't especially difficult to remove if you use some common sense, but sometimes the excitement of going doorless gets in our way and accidents happen!
Just my 2¢!
Happy trails ...

I used to work with a body man that would do something along the same lines. ... Say on a door with a large area pushed in....The door was sanded down to bear metal, he would heat the inside with a torch getting it pretty damn hot, and then slap an opened up, square ice cold wet wrag on the outside......it would pull the pushed in area right out.
Use the ding as a center point for a drill. Drill the same size hole as the ones for your hood bumpers (AKA Jeep Nipples).
Buy and extra set of hood bumper and mount one on each side. Then you will have door stops for when you do it again.

Or even better... park on a hill with the front end at the top. This way the door always wants to swing back and would never accidentally swing forward.
One of the first things I did. Avoids the dimples and the mirror drilling procedure.
i have the same pair! man what a coincidence lol, its all good man any jeep owner knows what it is and gets a little chuckle everytime they see it on someone elses, just to let you know kc lights dont block the mirrors. they still hit lol
