Default Need help again...Puzzled

This morning I noticed that the steering wheel controls were not working. The radio plays but I have to use the controls off the radio. None of the buttons light up, no menu, no voice and no bluetooth. I checked a couple of the fuses and they looked good. Any help from the forum members would be greatly appreciated. Thx ahead of time.

I had the same problem and found that there are lots of threads on the issue. The number one fix for the issue is to just smack the crap out of your steering wheel and that will fix the problem. When i traded my JK in for my new Rubicon i encountered this problem within the first 2 months of ownership and since Ive smacked my steering wheel Ive haven't had any more problems.

There is a TSB for an update flash. I had it performed a month after I bought my 2011. It has to do with the steering controls. Give your dealer a call.

Its so crazy to think that a SMACK will fix the problem, just picturing getting a tsb and watching the tech SMACK the wheel and say.. ok your all done!
Gotta love a JEEP.

My buttons have stopped working twice. The steering wheel hit works everytime. Weird. Next it goes to the steelership where it will probably start working on its own right when I get there.

Mine works every time I take it in, I think the only reason they do anything with it is because they have the TSB. Soooo frustrating. I love my Jeep though :-)
