Default Need Help Guys!!!!

My jeep every morning is dead, at first i thought it might be the battery... so i went an bought a duralast gold an everything was fine with it. Now its doing it again... it seems like it is just in the morning, like the cold is getting to something, but after i jump it, it is fine the rest of the day... Could it be a altnator?

When you turn the key, does it try and turn over? As in a clicking sound?

I'd check the starter next. Then the alternator

Check the battery voltage with the Jeep running, it should be 13.5 to 14 volts. If it won't start check that the voltage is something above 12 volts.

Another option is to take it to Auto Zone or equivalent auto parts store and ask them to analyze it, they have the test equipment.

I had a similar problem on a vehicle once, would jump start but never start on its own battery power. Turned out to be a bad starter.

This happened to my TJ last winter. Wouldn't start on very cold mornings/nights. Battery was fine, I could jump it.....starter was going bad. Just an FYI

also does it seem to be related to humidity?
I would do as others suggested with getting the charging system and alternator checked. I would also check your connections and also run an additional ground with some thick gauge wire. Lastly check your distribution block for loose connections as well.

I was going to suggest having your battery load-tested, but you've eliminated that with a new battery (unless it's defective). My guess is your charging system is malfunctioning.

Do your headlights come on? If so, do they stay bright when you try to crank the motor? if they stay bright and the starter isn't turning over the motor you probably have a starter problem, if they get real dim and the starter just clicks, you may have something draining your battery overnight and need to be looking in that direction.

This ^
If it can start by itself after the initial jump in the morning, the alternator is doing it's job. Sounds like you most likely have something draining the battery overnight.
Also make sure the battery terminals are good and tight while it's cold in the morning. I have seen the terminals shrink enough to lose it's connection on a cold day.
God luck
