Default Neutral Safety Switch

Hey guys and girls...i dont think this is in the right spot if its not im sorry. im having a problem with my neutral safety switch. my jeep wont start if its in 2Hi the only way i can start it is in 4lo because i dont need the clutch...what are your thoughts on how to fix this problem?

first thing to check would be the fuse, then if not that the wiring to the switch. Is it throwing any codes?

I don't think its called a neutral safety switch but I know what you mean. its a clutch switch and not sure on the jk but on the Dodge pick-ups its at the pedal, its possible that it has failed because I think if it were just unplugged it would start in 2hi without the clutch. put it in neutral and try holding the key fully forward in the start position and slowly release the clutch(and I mean slowly) even try working the pedal in and out it a bit and if it starts its definatly the switch.
