A new JK key cost 100 dollars?
I purchased chip keys from ebay last week for around $15, took them to Ace Hardware and paid $2 to have it cut. Went out in the parking lot and programmed it using the original two keys and everything works great. All for less than 20 bucks! This key does not have the power door buttons on it but it is nice because it is the size of a regular key and not the big obnoxious key that comes with the Jeep.

No need to be raped by the dealer if you have two working chip keys.
(I would recommend EVERYONE have 3 working chip keys at all times, so a lost key can be replaced without getting cornholed.)
I also have a couple spare non-chip keys for their compact size and the need to get in the glovebox/console with a key in the ignition or keep a key with minimal clothes on. The non-chip keys are also good for kids that want to listen to the radio while you're in the store.
chapstick4 has "2007 - 2009 Jeep Wrangler + Unlimited Transponder key" for $15 and MyKeyLess has "07 08 2007 2008 JEEP WRANGLER + 4X4 KEY+PROGRAM" for $10.
To program a third key, you must have the two other working keys. If you don't, you have to go to the dealer to have it done.

Anyway, here are the two key variants--they are NOT compatible ...
