Yessir, transponder is what you need. The transponder ones are grey, the non transponder ones are black.

 

Check to see if your insurance covers a new key. I just got my policy renewal in the mail yesterday and for some reason decided to read through it. Along with my glass coverage there was a part for keys. It is $0 deductible up to $400 of coverage. Had I not looked through I never would have known so it's worth checking out.

I also apparently have some sort of pet coverage. I don't have any pets so I didn't read it but I'm covered
