Default New JK unlimited Rubicon tranny problem

I have a new 2016 Rubicon unlimited and the transmission has a problem from day 1...i bought the jeep two weeks and ago and almost every day in the first 2 or 3 minutes the tranny goes to limp mode or perform bad. I stop...restart the car an the problem is gone for the rest of the day. Only if I park for several hours (more than 5) the problem appears again in the same day. Temperature has been around 60 °F ....so this is not cold at all.
Dealer had car checked for two days but never had the problem, they drive the car 50 miles....but if the problem does not show in the first minutes then the rest of time it won't.

Any sugestions? A bad speed sensor?...a bad connection?....but then...why just when the car is cold?...and why even cold a restart fixes the problem?

First jeep ever for me.....and not very happy....please help!....I dont want to leave the car at the Dealer for several days again without a good idea of what can be causing the problem....there was a code last time ...dont know the number but i was told it indicated wrong shift or something like that..however..as I told you...they drive the car whitout problems....

Welcome to JK-F.

My recommendation is to capture the events on video and show it to the dealership. Also you may try taking it to another dealership in the area if possible.

as noted, take video.

If it routinely goes into limp mode, let it go into limp and limp it to the dealer. If that too far, pull over, leave it running and call the tow truck. Have them leave it running while they tow it to the dealer.

I just feel transmission type is quite important, is this auto or manual?

Default Problem fixed

The dealership replaced the valve body....apparently something was wrong...the pressure readings were not correct...so they decided to install a new valve body. The JK is new...the problem presented from day 1....so something must be incorrect in the valve body.
First day an no problem at all....i hope this was the real cause. The malfunction presented only in the first mile in the morning...
