Default Newbie question - soft top help

I'm looking for recommendations for storage options for the soft top windows for my '16 Unlimited.

If possible, I'd like to find one offering the best protection, as well as one that does not require folding of the rear window.

Any advice is GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks
Ed

I just lay mine flat in the rear tub, with the inside facing each other. Inevitably they will get scratched no matter what.

I did the same...made my own (my wife hates sewing and refused to...lol). The commercial products don't fully cover the extra width of the late model rear window unless that has changed in the last couple of years.

I made my own as well. I bought 3 sheets of black felt at local fabric supply shop measuring 62" by 25" cut one sheet in half width wide. Sowed the 4 sheets together at one end. Then got 52" of 1" nylon from a camping place cut in half along with plastic buckles and a 24" by 12" sleeping bag cover. I Sowed one end of the nylon to a buckle and then used the other side as a slide. Total cost was $33 and a hour and a half putting it all together. So worth it! Fits perfectly under the rear seats of my jku. BTW I made mine for a 4 door. Your 2 middle sheets you would want longer for a 2 door.

Shouldn't the window roll be on the short side? Rolling on the long edge will put some nasty creases in that L plastic that runs up the door surround as opposed to rolling the flat piece over.

Yes. Just curious, what makes you think someone is rolling it starting on the long edge?

I should have added it to my earlier post- I have had a few TJ's and had some leftover parts. One of those parts was the cloverpatch roll. The TJ rolls the windows the other direction so I need to sew the other side of the roll to make it work for the JK. I currently just set my windows in the pages and set the roll in the living room.
