Newest Flash for 2012
I have written here before about a stutter between 1600-1800 rpms under certain conditions. I called the stealership, and they would not tell me what the newest flash was for my 2012 Jeep JK 6 speed. They said they had to plug it in to tell me. Of course that is considered computer time. $$$$$$$ The flash that is on my JK ends with "AH". Any help with this would be nice. Thank You
I'm another one who has posted about this same stutter. Soon I'll be taking mine in for the mirror recall. I'll mention the stutter problem to the dealer and see what they say. I have lifetime warranty, but comes with $100 deductible. The stutter happens infrequently enough that is not worth me spending $100 for them to tell me they can't find a problem. The stutter only happens occasionally, like once a week or so. Recently about a month went by with no stutter, then it happened again, a single time last weekend.
When the dealer did the mirror recall on the jeep, there were 2 flashes available for my 2012. I believe they were HVAC related from what I remember. Of course they wanted $$$ to flash those updates

Rob, please let me know what they find if anything. Mine started doing it once and a while now I really have to keep the RPM's up. It doesn't do it when it is cold, so I think it might be a lean condition in the map from 1600 - 1800 RPM's.

Dealer did my mirror recall. I did not ask them about the hesitation because I won't pay them any $$. I go there to pick up the jeep yesterday and the paperwork has a section called Recommendations. They recommended a PCM update. Actually said "non warranty pcm update". Fee was zero dollars, but they didn't actually do it?!? I asked to speak to the person but he had already left for the day and no one else there knows what he wrote that or what it meant. He was supposed to call me today to explain but never did. I'll give a call tomorrow to see what he says.
