Default Nitrogen

Hi all, question about nitrogen in the tires. New jeep, almost 3 weeks old. And the fricken tires are filled with Nitrogen. Thoughts on Nitrogen? I personally dont like the idea of having to ge to the dealer to fill a tire.

nitrogen molecules are larger than air molecules, so you wont loose air due to it leaking out of the pores in the rubber.. nitrogen also requires less to fill tire because the molecules are larger.
i think u can mix air and nitro, but i would prob just replace it with regular good ole AIR.

Don't waste your money on this. The benefits are so minor that you will never know the difference.

Just fill them with air it will be fine I have done my wifes for 2yrs
I look at it like this they don't pull a vaccum after mounting the tires so a little more air aint going to hurt

I did not waste the coin. I drove it off the lot with the nitrogen already in the tires. I think thats how they come from the factory now. Does anyone know for sure that you can add air to the tire? Or am I stuck taking my jeep back the the dealer alla time?

If you air down just fill it up with air when you air back up. If won't hurt a thing to mix rigular air and nitrogen in the tires. It is mixed in the air we breath all the time.

To all those that run there Jeeps with nitrogen in their tires, I have a special deal for you. I have some magic beans that I can sell you, if you place them in your glovebox you'll get better performance.

ps. The air we breath is 70% nitrogen.

As stated, you can mix in regular air, which is around 80% nitrogen anyway.

All the things you may read about the benefits of nitrogen are true.
In a daily driver, though, the benefits are so subtle, you would never know the difference.

With extreme use tires, such as on heavy aircraft, and race cars, the benefits will be more apparent.
