Default No Acceleration

Anyone heard of this happening???
07 Sahara JK 2 in 5 startups the motor won't accelarate over 2000 rpm in drive or neutral. I have to stop shut down and restart to make it work properly. wtf is happening. dealer of course never heard of this happening and would need it in the shop a couple of days for diagnosis. and on the tranny situation i had the torque converter seize and tear up the trans. at this point i still love my Jk but i am afraid to take it out. only 56k on the motor. please help.

The throttle situation may have to do with the electric throttle control. I had problems with mine at 540 miles on the odometer. They reflashed my pcm and its been fine since.

I had some issues with it feeling like it "stuck in gear" and wouldn't accelerate right, had the pcm reflashed and it took care of it. Now I need a real flash pack...

for some reason your JK is going into Limp home mode.. RPMs limited at 2000 and trans will be in second gear (if its automatic)...

there should be codes being stored in the PCM.... you can either read them yourself with the key sequence.. or drive it to autozone and see if they can read them out for you..
