i bought a new 2010 and was wondering if this was the first year for a dvd owners manual? i have a small quick refference guide and then a dvd for the full manual. this sucks and i hate it is there a way to get a book type manual. i hate the penny pinching that chrysler does. sorry had to vent and yes i do read the manual when i get a new auto lol sure i am in the minority.

 

that sucks, i'm sure you can order a '09 manual which is mostly the same.

 

nice, who the hell wants to pop in a dvd to see what kinda fluid to use.

Yes I think the 2010' is the first year. I read about it awhile back here somewhere.....

 

I really prefer a book manual, as well. However, I have the .pdf for the '07 and it really is a quicker way (using search) to find something specific. But the real book is a much better way to just learn the ins and outs of a new vehicle. Besides, in '07 the manual came in this cool, OD cloth case.

 

I asked my dealer about getting a Wrangler sales brochure for a friend and was told that Chrysler wouldn't be sending them any. The info would only be available on the Jeep website.

the 2010 has a new soft top but that is about it for differences. i am going to call and see if i can get a manual today will let you know if it worked. they will probably tell me i already got one and it is a dvd. lol

 

called the factory customer service number that was posted up earlier and they are sending me a printed version free of charge. not sure how long the wait will be but at least they are providing me one. thanks for the phone number (i already had it but didn't think to call). i told them the law says the first owner of a new auto has the right to receive a printed copy of the owners manual and after a brief hold they agreed. now i am at least a little happy with the customer service department. thanks for the help

 

I have a separate manual for the DVD/GPS/Sirius. My JK is a 2008
The manual is as thick as the owner manual!
