NSG-370 how tough is it?
How many people on here have had the 6 speed in their JK replaced? At 20,000 km my jeep started making a whining noise the dealer replaced transmission under warranty. I have put 10,000 km on my jeep since and any time I go wheeling and get my tires spinning in mud or on ice I feel like I'm being to hard on a transmission that just can't take it. Anybody have any stories of how tough the NSG-370 is to put my mind at ease?
Also how many 6 speed owners experience a rough shift from 1st to 2nd? When I make this shift I find at times when coming out of 1st it feels knotchy and drops rough into 2nd. About a 1000 km ago I switched to mopar synthetic tranny fluid and have noticed a big difference. I'm hoping over time the shifting will become smoother. Anybody find anything else to improve the shifting?

It is very variable for me. Some days (even from stone cold) it will shift silky smooth. Other days every time I shift from 1 to 2 it feels like my gears are lubed with sand

Just a personal opinion, but I think the 6-speed tranny, clutch, pressure plate, and bearing are piss poor when you consider their in a product that is meant to be taken off the road and used. I have never had problems with any of the trucks I have owned with 6-speeds, but the JK tranny is questionable in my mind.

My 6 speed is usually rough going from 1st to 2nd gear when the Jeep is cold, but once it gets warm it doesn't do it anymore. I've gotten used to it now, but it was annoying at first wondering if my gears were messed up.
