I searched the forum for this problem and found nothing.

So My remote starter is not keeping the jeep started.It will start then cut out after about 60 seconds..
Any ideas?

 

Electrical gremlins are best left to those with the computers and software to ID them.

 

Dealer"fixed" 3 times...I am finished with the dealer

 

3 times = lemon, right?

try a different dealer

 

I think the lemon law only applies to major mechanical issues that cannot get resolved? Convenience items such as remote start wouldn't qualify.....

 

RR- you're right (I was trying to be a bit funny, guess I failed; I should have used a Smilie or something). It varies by state but pretty much has to be a major defect or seriously effect use of the vehicle.

But I was serious when I suggested trying another dealership. No one else will really be able to figure it out. My guess is it is either the Sentry Key or the Remote module.

Hitch Buddy- Did the dealer try replacing the remote module?

 

Have you watched to see if an engine warning light comes on?


From the 08 manual:

Remote start will also cancel if any of the following occur:
If the engine stalls or RPM exceeds 2500.
Any engine warning lamps come on.
The hood is opened.
The hazard switch is pressed.
The transmission is moved out of P (Park).
The brake pedal is pressed.

 

have not thought of that.......My engine light is always on because of the evap cannister.

 

it's your jeep saying jeeps shouldn't have remote start...it's dying a little bit on the inside everytime you use it...next your radio will only start playing emo music....

 

Mine just started doing this also, I have no engine lights or anything....
