I JUST changed my oil for the first time in my 12' JK, literally 2 days ago, my jeep has only 7,500 miles on it, we'll this afternoon upon start up I got this message. Did I do something wrong? I added six quarts of 5w-30 synthetic and new filter thing, oil on dip stick looks clean and full, why the error code???

Try this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XaP8r5eOD7I
Instructions
1
Put your Jeep in "Park" and turn off the engine.

2
Turn the ignition to the "On" notch, without starting the engine.

3
Push the gas pedal to the floor three times (within ten seconds).

4
Turn the ignition to "Off," and then start the engine to verify that the alert is turned off.

Probably nothing wrong just needs to be reset. Think the computer calculates mileage and other conditions and flashes when you need to change it. Just look up how to reset it. Should be has simple has pumping gas pedal 3 times while key is on the on position or something a long those lines. Maybe someone with a little more knowledge will post.

Not an error code, just a reminder.
The jeep doesn't know you changed the oil unless you tell it by doing the procedure described above.
The warning is called an Oil Change Indicator. It's an algorithm based computation to conservatively measure the life left in an oil fill.
Several threads on them and a little info in the manual, too.

If your going 7,500 miles between changes, just make sure to check the oil level every 1,000 miles or so.

Yes, whenever you do an oil change follow the process outlined here to reset the monitor, regardless of how many miles you go between changes.
