Default Oil Filter Reviews

I thought i saw a comprehensive oil filter review of about 6 top selling filters on this forum. I've done a search here and on Goggle, but can't find the review where the guy opened up each filter, explained how it was built and then rated them good to bad.

Has anyone seen such a review and knows where i can find it??

Thanks.

Thanks for trying.

I think I saw what you're talking about on the bobistheoilguy site. Either way, if you're looking for a good oil filter I highly recommend the Napa gold 1348 filter or one of the carquest gold ones. Both are made by Wix and they work flawlessly.

I think I remember the one you're talking about. It lead to a guy on youtube that cut open 10 differant filters and showed what each contained. I'll post a link to one of them, the rest will show up in the watch list on the right.

I saw that too, it's similar but the review I'm talking about is not a video and the guy rates each filter.....

If that's the one, I remember that an update was done at some stage.

I have seen those reviews, but the problem with the JK is that it is picky with filters. I have tried Mobil One, Wix, Purolator, and they all caused a knock in my JKs. The one that seems to work the best is a cheap old Fram oil filter that I got at Walmart. I have not had the knocking since switching to the Fram. All the other filters I mentioned caused the cold start knock. I change my oil every 3K miles and use Mobil One oil, so I am not that worried about dirty oil.
