Default option sheet help

my option sheet for my 12 dr rubicon has... mx9p delete sunrider soft top
does that mean it should have one? why do they put that in if it did no come with one. Im assuming it means that option was not on jeep with the deleted part, but why put it in at all? should i have one or no.

no. The soft top is standard equipment when purchased with no options. Apparently you've opted or the hard top only, not the dual top group. Because of this, you 'delete' the soft top that it comes with to offset the cost of the hard top.

Actually you will get the soft top regardless. No one knows why it says delete but your only options are soft top only or freedom and soft together.

There is an option for hard top only. It is an extra $700 rather than the standard soft top. Then dual top is an extra $1600. Just ordered mine with hard top only and bought the trek top from dealler for $500. Cheaper than the dual top and i get the fast back.

I guess the question is how much did you pay for the hard top option. I can't find it on the Jeep website, is hard only just a dealer option? When I bought mine I could only choose dual or soft top. I chose dual and my sticker says delete soft top.

This is a screen shot from the details of the dual top group from the build your own exterior options on Jeep.com. It says you get both but then lists "delete sun rider soft top".

When I was researching why it says delete I found numerous threads on different forums and no one could explain why including salesman. It's just that way and it confuses buyers all of the time.
