Default Ordered new tires tomorrow. Will they be TOO BIG? Help

I have a 2008 JKU with stock street tires. Flat, dry rotted, been patched tons of times. 8 years OLD..... It's time to let them go.

And I want something larger... More aggressive. I just set an appointment to install the following on my ALL stock JKU x:

BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 (LT285 /70 R17 Will they fit without spacers? It won't do much off-road, hardly any at all.

Spacers or adjust your steering stops.

There will be contact with the lower control arms or sway bar if it's not offset correctly.

Wheel spacers, lower backspace wheels, or steering stops. You don't need a lift for these tires.

The shop didn't have BFGs like I wanted in stock like their website said they did. So I went with some Cooper A/T tires. 285s and yes they rub on sharp turns. But it sure is an improvement. Click image for larger version

Default wheel size

I run 33 x 12.5 r 17 LT with a rim back space of ~4.5"
No rubbing at all at full lock
On stock 2016 JK sport 2 dr.
I would not do the wheel spacers but get proper back spaced rims if you can wing it.

I have a completely stock 2011 JKUR and just put on 285/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers with Helo wheels -4.5" back space and it is a perfect fit with no rub. With your stock wheels you might have to use a 1.5" wheel spacer to eliminate the rub. Its amazing how a little tire size change makes such a big difference on the look of the Jeep. My wife even loves the look.
