Default Overheating problem

I went to a park on Sunday. Was there for about 4 hours and about halfway thru I started overheating. Turned the heater on and didn't have a problem so when I got home I was checking everything out. I noticed my anti freeze was low didn't notice any leaks or anything so I just figured I may have splashed some outta the over flow so I filled it back up. Didn't have a issue yesterday on the way to and from work. Didnt have a issue goin to work today but then it started back up today on my way home check my antifreeze and it's fine no leaks either

Is the cooling fan cycling? See if the fan goes on when you turn the a/c on.

Did you go through any mud? If so flush your radiator from the back to front ( stick the hose in between the radiator and fan) and flush liberally until all you see is clear.
When its cold squeeze the upper and lower radiator lines and make a mental note of how firm they are. Next time its getting hot be careful not to burn yourself but give them a squeeze again...they should be firmer, but not rock hard if one or both is very hard you may have a bad thermostat.

Check to see if the fan is coming on. I had to replace mine and have seen others have the same issue.

To check the thermostat when it's hot, the upper and lower hoses should feel like there the same temp.
