I was driving my jeep, this metal bracket like looking thing fell off my jeep. I have no idea what it came off of but ever since it fell off jeeps been running fine, except for the manual trans noise ive been having ever since i got my jeep, at 111thous kms. I briefly took a peek under my jeep but havent noticed anything out of the ordinary but the manual trans noise is getting worse, so im concerned that this bracket has to with the noise. If anyone knows what this part is leme know!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks jeepers - Ryan

You positive it came off your Jeep? Sure doesn't look like a Jeep part.

 

I heard it hit something of my floor board. I was stopped then took off and hit my floor board and bounced on the ground, there was a bent threaded bolt that was bent in the bracket to..

 

Difficult to tell, but looks like could be from e-break linkage (have you tried setting the e-break?)...I would think a part that size if it had something to do with your trans you would know by now.... sorry to hear your 'extra' parts are trying to leave you.

I agree with this. Exception would be if you had some aftermarket parts on your Jeep. That just doesn't look OEM. You sure you didn't run over it and it was thrown up into the bottom of the Jeep?

 

Looks like a deck bracket off a riding lawn mower.

 

From Ontario Canada and no rust on the part I don't think it came off your Jeep.

 

Looks like pork chops on a laptop. Don't worry about it. It doesn't look like the food came from your Jeep .

 

I have to agree with the others. There wouldn't be an ugly bare metal part like that under your Jeep. Looks exactly like something they sell at my local Ace Hardware with the hinges and deck products.

 

Ahh k feeling better now, I could of ran over it, I hope so. But like I said tho nothing is different about it, still runs fine.... Except for the manual Trans noise...
