Is there a way to stop the passenger seat belt from having the "lock" position when it retracts... I hate that ratcheting and not to mention, it locks you in (Offroading this is fine) which on the way to work sucks....

 

Nope its standard on all new vehicles made. Its for use with a Child seat. The only belt that doesn't do it is the Drivers for obvious reasons.

I guess if you really wanted to you could buy another drivers side seatbelt and replace the passengers side with it. As your dealer and see if its the same or different part numbers.
