Default Pesky gas cap and check engine light

I’m sure this comes up a lot. I have the pesky gas cap/ check engine light. I have started with the evap leak pump. The replacement pump I bought from Amazon internally looks different than the one I removed. Should I be concerned? Also if this doesn’t fix it, any advice where to start next ?

New pump

Left is the old and right is the new pump

I would not be concerned about the the valve designs inside. I'd put the new one on and see if it fixes the leak issue. that module is often the case. now, having said that I've used a couple Dorman units there and they worked perfectly fine in regard to functionality, but the valves do seem to be a bit different and the last two I put there make a gurgling type noise when filling up. it's driving me crazy even though it's working just fine. I had a dorman unit previous that worked fine for years but maybe they have redesigned the internal valve recently?? anyhow, I just got an actual Mopar replacement that I'm going to throw on when I get home from vacation and see if that solves my noise issue. there's quite a difference in cost of aftermarket vs. OEM.
