Bedline.
Both will scratch and get scraped off from rocks no matter what. At least bedlining is A LOT cheaper, can be done yourself in a day and can always touch up as you need to once your back from playing on the rocks.

BTW - where's the poll?

I rattle can bedlined mine .... either touchup after trail damage.

Actually the only time I have ever had it get chipped or scratched is when I had tires installed.

rattle can all the way. I did rustoleum hammered black metal finish and they look great. The hammered finish is real easy to touch up after they get trail rash. Make sure you prep your wheels really well (strip off the factory coating, acid etch prime them with a spray etching primer), then paint them. Lots of thin coats makes them bombproof. My coating I put on is holding up as good if not better compared to the factory coating that was on them before.

Don't waste your time and money powdercoating them

Someone should do a write up with pics and step by step instructions. With all materials and all that. I think it would be an awesome write up

There are a few kick'n around here, hard to remember all the titles they're under though, but I found one.

It's super easy.
Pull your wheels, clean and degrease (I used Simple Green).
Scuff with some med grit sandpaper.
Tape tires, valve stems and caps and cover the lug holes with washers or something about the size of a quarter to keep that surface clean for the nuts.
Spray away - no primer - I did 3 coats for each wheel.
I made an assembly line of sorts, took about 5 hours to do all wheels. Well worth a Saturday afternoon's work and a few beers.

Finished product:
