Default Possible problem when disabled traction control

Just did the "steering wheel dance" to disable the traction control but the esp and traction control lights are stuck on, on the instrument cluster. I have restarted the jeep a couple of times but the lights will not go away and I will get a beep (same as the beeps when you turn the ignition on) every once in a while while driving. Does anyone know why it is doing this / experienced this before?

I have one light always on and the beep. Just one beep about 5 seconds after start-up.

Mine is the same way. Both lights on. Extra chimes right after start up. And the occasional chime.

Your ESP is disabled but the light will always remain on.

I did the same little dance and the only thing that stays on is the traction control symbol (the car on the slippery road). My "esp" light stays OFF. The only other thing that happens (and according to the manual is supposed to happen) is upon startup, your dash will read "esp off" for a few seconds. I'd read the owners manual about it if you are worried. If your "esp" light is on in your dash, it may be a seperate issue. You could try the dance again to turn it back off to make sure the light isn't associated with the code.

Just a thought, not an expert.
