Had my 10 Rubi 6spd. in on an oil change and they did a reflash. There were no issues going in and no difference that I can detect going out. The only way I know that they did it is because they told me Chrysler wants it done and they listed it on the service invoice. Again, I can't tell that anything has changed.

The dealer did it for me in the last oil change,
Big differences if you have an Automatic. The shifting is smoother and runs better.

If you did not notice any differences there is something wrong.!

Look at the Invoice / paper work of what was done to your jeep. It should have this on it :

JK 3.8L OBD READINESS PCM FLASH

181906H5 Module, Powertrain Control (PCM)
Reprogram Module, Powetrain Control (PCM)

Flashed PCM

Hope that helps

Here's what they did to my 10 Rubi 6spd.

181906H5 Module, Powertrain Control (PCM)
Reprogram Module, Powertrain Control (PCM)

Everything was fine prior to the reprogram and it seems the same now. I can't tell that there is a difference. Probably since it's a 6spd.

Same here, I have a 10' Sahara 6 speed...only thing I noticed was they added a sticker under the hood that stated PCM Flash and date done!

For what a being reading people with manual trans can not notice a difference. Only in the Automatics you can notice the change/improvement.

I have an Automatic.

I also just had this done to my automatic and I definitely notice a difference. There's much more power available without mashing the gas pedal to the floor. I'm loving the change!!

Brings to mind how I'm supposed to find some of this stuff out. I'm doing all my own maintenance so far, 20100 miles. I do drop into the Jeep owners factory site every couple of months to run my VIN and it comes up clear. May have to drop by the stealership and ask them to run the VIN.
