I would reccomend the dealer we have seen a couple but not alot. It seems the pumps are catch and miss. The Hemi pumps seem to have alot more flow.

Good Luck and let me know if i can help

Well I didn't have that piece of the puzzle. I only knew about the pump.

A 2.5" BB should not be any reason to deny waranty work on a PS pump. As for the tires, since you have the 32" Rubi tires that should not be cause either, as the Rubi uses the same PS pump.
Since you have two problems. The PS pump at idle and your battery going dead after 5 minutes, this would lead me to look at the belt. Perhaps it is loose, and therefore slipping on the PS pump. If the belt is loose it could also mean it might have been slipping on the alternator, and therefore not recharging your battery properly.
If the belt is tight, take it to the dealer.

I am running 35" MTZ and sometimes I feel a complete power steering failure especially when I am trying to park in tight car spaces. My power steering somestimes completely goes very hard to steer. Checked the oil and the belt tension everything seems to be OK.

I think the dealer will not resolve my problem.

Mine is manual JK and i was looking for a power steering upgrade like PSC but a member over here had heaps of issues with his PSC kit driving manual JK also.

Does anyone know what kind of aftermarket power steering available out there. Sadly I was looking at seema for some one to come up with but no luck..

Default Aftermarket PS pump?

I have the same problem...

Great at speed or if I goose the gas a little - but at idle, it's almost non-existent.

I've gotten into the habit of goosing it before making a turn or pulling into a parking space - and that's getting to be annoying...

Surely there are several aftermarket options out there?

Holy crap, old post! anyway, your pump is dead for sure. I have been through 2 power steering pumps now, and had to go to several dealers to find one that would warranty it. I have 35's and 2.5 coil lift, so they claimed tires were causing it and that I need a aftermarket steering system. I blew both on the trail as well. Next step would be the redneck ram or PSC hydro steer system. good luck!

Yeah - I have 35's and 3" lift, and I'm the 3rd owner, so I doubt I'll get any warranty support. I'm surprised there isn't a good "bolt on" after market unit that I could just go get and put on in place of this lousy stock one.
