In the rare occasion my Jeep is parked in public, I use The Club. A car thief would rather not have to cut through the steering wheel to jack your ride.
As stated earlier, don't leave valuable items in plain view.
Jeeps are very low on the national average for car thefts, and with these new key chips, only hardcore car thieves can defeat them. There aren't too many professional car thieves out there; believe it or not. Most cars taken are Hondas & Toyotas. Why? They're simple to steal, and the parts are easily sold.
A while back I had an Isuzu Amigo when I used to live in Chicago, and some bastard decided to cut the top on it in order to rumage through my stuff. All he had to do was pull the top off. He didn't get anything; looser.

i brought this issue up with my father. he is a mechanic and came up with this idea. he bought this switch key at Napa to prevent theft. what we did is spliced the power cable to the starter, the one going to the battery as you need it to power the starter and turn the flywheel toturning engine the on, we extended some 12 gauge to reach the inside of the center counsel where i can lock it. so i do is just open the center counsel, remove the key, take the key w me, and lock the center counsel. the starter has no power so they cant take it. i also turn my wheels and lock the wheel just in case.

what yall think? it was like a $20 mod

You don't need to cut it. The steering wheel will bend with enough force. The Club is useless. Just for info, not trying to argue it's just things I've seen

I wouldn't go as far to say that it's useless. It's merely another obstacle for a thief to have to overcome. The harder you make it for them, the more likely they are to find an easier steal, imo.

OK...don't take this the wrong way, but if you are genuinely concerned about this, then why don't you just unpack the moving boxes and use your garage for its intended purpose? The vehicle being locked inside a building seems like it would logically be the most effective way to deter thieves, IMO. Just a thought...

Good luck!

Make sure you have gap insurance and make sure your insurance is currant. Not much to worry about after that. If they want your jeep they will get it. Some day, some how. Thieves suck balls....

Default Does any1 make this alarm...

A silent alarm that signals you by way of your key with a range of up to half a mile or so? One that would be set off by the pressure of say a person sitting in your seat, if so check into that....It would be worth it to catch one of those fuckos screwing around in your JK
