It's a bit disconcerting that people are still having these "stall bug" issues on JKs built long after the TSB has been out there for the early adopters.

Finally...something I have the answer to!!

I had this same problem. The red lightning bolt lights up, the traction control light comes on and the check engine light too.

I had the same problem and took it to my dealer. They said it's the Throttle body assembly. If you get the codes, you will get P507 and P2172.

My dealer had seen it before and knew immediately what it was. A vacuum leak is causing the loss of power/stall. The computer will not allow the engine to rev past around 1000 rpm.

Your problem is a bad THROTTLE BODY. They replaced my throttle body assembly and it was good as new...no problems since.

Try that and let me know. This solved my problem.

Yes it is, that is why i am hesitant to say the TSB "fixed" mine, I am not entirely positive that it did, so far so good... ...is the best I can honestly say.

dealer changed my pcv valve (cracked) and I have not hand any lights for a week.
With all the lights and the way it ran or didn't run I would have thought there was more than a vac leak wrong.

Default Electrical Stalling

Hate to start this back up, but my JK is at the dealer right now! 3 days and counting. Same problem, stalling. Dealer cannot get it to "stall" for them.

When this happened to me all the symptoms noted by everyone else took place, all the lights came on and it ran rough for about 2-4 seconds, then stalled. It actually stalled for me while pulling a small trailer, I coasted into a gas station and that is were it left me! I immediately tried to start it back up once i was stopped and it was like there was no power. I got that "no power" clicking sound.

Sat there a while waiting for the dreaded tow. Tow truck arrived and I tried again to start it up, presto, ran like a champ. Had it towed to the dealer regardless. This is third time now, before it did not completely stall just ran really rough.

Will be talking to service advsisor today and relaying all the good info on this post and others.

Will keep you posted.

I didnt have a stalling issue like yours, but a similler hesitation issue that they could not figure out basically from day 1. No codes in the ECM and several test drives later we cant find anything wrong. Basically they said your on your own nothing we can do. After nearly having my family and I obliterated by an 18 wheeler because it decided to cut out on me again I decided to look into the problem myself seeing the stealership is incapible of figuring out problems that dont spell themselves out in black and white. I am an ASE Master Heavy Truck Tech by profession and also before I got my Jeep and still love muscle cars and rebulding a 69 Mustang (gearhead) I know a thing or two about vehicles. I did a little checking and found my muffler was completly plugged you could not blow through this thing no matter how hard you tried. I ordered and aftermarket exhaust and havent had a problem since. I took the muffler back to the stealership and slamed it on the counter and handed them my bill. Still waiting on payment currently 90 days past due. Good luck sometimes you need to try another dealer.

Good luck getting that payment. I wouldn't hold my breath.

Sounds like there are several different issues that will result in the same behavior.
