Default Problems playing Ipod with U-Connect

New to the thread, so if this has been addressed, my apologies. I have a 2013 Unlimited Sport S with U-connect. When I initially purchased it, my Ipod played with no problems. I am now getting an "error" message when I attempt to play it with the "UCI" function. My Iphone works phone in the U-connect. I have tried to downlod the new Ipod software and it is up to date. I took it in to the dealership and they did not find any problems and the service manager plugged in his iphone and told me it is working fine. ...any ideas?

I'll follow this thread as something similar has happened to me. I have used my iPod touch plugged in to the USB in the center console. It always worked fine. I recently was doing some iPod maintenance and decided to restore my iPod touch to factory condition, the. Resynch to put songs on again. Now it won't work when plugged in to the jeep. However, my iPhone 4 does work fine both on Bluetooth as well as plugged in. I am going to try to update the iPod touch and reinstall the music to see if that helps.

I just picked up a '13 a few weeks ago. I have yet to get a device to work by plugging it into center console USB OR faceplate USB. iPhone works fine thru Bluetooth. I was actually going to call my dealer to see if I was doing something wrong. I also noticed today that I couldn't bring up a list of songs/artists/playlists when my iPhone is connected thru Bluetooth. Any ideas?

Same problem with my Iphone, it will play the song, but I cant bring up any lists either. I can just push forward and play the next song. I have tried several times to update the ipod, running newest software. On the screen of the device, it will show a "Jeep" logo so I know it is talking to the ipod. It will also show that name of the song on the screen of the radio, but wont play. Anyone know how to get this to work?

Any problem with Android? Windows? Or maybe with the new Blackberry? I didn't received my JK yet but will probably change my iPhone soon... We'll see if it will work properly but if it is not, could be great to have better options. The new Blackberry Z10 is really interesting.

The Android works fine with the bluetooth on my Uconnect. In fact, the Iphone works fine with the bluetooth as well, as far as just making phone calls, sending and receiving. The problem is playing the MP3 portion. Trying to use the AUX part playing an Ipod and/or playing music off the iphone. There are some "bugs" in the system that might need worked out. Mine worked fine initially, but now it wont play the ipod and the dealer cant figure it out. The word I got that there was a problem with my ipod, but it plays fine in other vehicles. Sounds like other members are having the same problem.

Dealerships suck. I had a similar problem and they finally conceded that I wasn't making it up. But they had to replace something and that took two days. this was after I asked them to fix my soft top squeaks and they said I altered the aerodynamics by putting larger tires on.

Keep pushing them.

Thats not a bad idea, I might just take it to a different dealership and see if I can get a different angle on it.

I guess I need to bring it down to have them look at it first, and see what they say. This will be my first service request/issue, so I'll get to see if they stand behind all their claims around exceptional service...
