Default Prolong Engine Treatment question

Received an email about Prolong Engine Treatment. They are offering a free bottle by mail of their fuel injector cleaner if you buy a bottle of engine treatment from Walmart.

I've never bothered with this type of stuff, I have free oil changes, etc. at the dealership. I have a 2008 JKU auto.

Should I bother? Anyone use this stuff?

Personally, I would stay away from adding that stuff. Seems like if it worked as advertised, they would coat internal engine surfaces with it in the first place.

I looked into engine additives such as Prolong years back. Never found any unbiased proof that they worked. May not do any harm, do not know for sure. Why take the chance.

That's kind of what I thought... plus my Jeep's been running fine, no knocks or pings. Thanks.
