I have a 2012 with 8,000 miles and my cd player quit working. comes up with '' disc read error ''. anyone know why? I also have the extra bumper to bumper 5 yr warranty would that cover electronics?

 

yeah your radio will be covered as long as they dont find user error suck as its been rained on or drink spilt in it. have you tryed multiple disc? poor quality disc arent always picked up well by low end players

 

Thanx , I have tried a couple of disk and none work. it has not been rained on YET

 

X2. As long as there is no obvious signs of abuse, it's covered. Also, make sure you try some "store-bought" music discs and not just those burned on someone's PC. I've had plenty of trouble over the years with home-burned CDs in all kinds of automotive players. Different people burning on different burners/PCs that wouldn't play in some vehicles but would in others.
