Ok maybe I can't find or I'm looking In the wrong place.
This is the first time I've had the doors off. What do u guys do about the radio staying on on after turning off the vehicle. It would normally turn off when you open the door. But with the door off it won't turn off for a few min. What dose every one do.
Just deal with it or is there a trick to turning off the radio.

Treat it like your theme music. I usually just let it play and walk away but you could always turn the radio off before you leave the jeep.

Just turn the volume down. It shuts off in a few seconds anyways. Or leave it going, makes people look and wonder

Two options:

1. Wait, it will turn off after a few minutes. This allows you to walk away in style while your tunes continue to play.
2. Hit the off button on the radio as you exit.

The thing you disconnected from the door is a sensor. Your radio will turn off in inner minute after you turn your key to the off position.. Nothing to worry about.

I've been looking for a way to adjust this in my 2010, sorta like the way the 2012 has the option. There should be an option to change the length the radio stays on. I think they are in 15 second increments. Mine seems to have defaulted to 45 seconds.

I just deal with it and annoy others when my favorite songs are playing while I walk away from the Jeep until it turns off. Or if I don't want that to happen I just turn the volume down or push the power button to turn it off.

I don't even think about it anymore. Just leave it on and walk away. I've had people tell me that my radio is still on and I just chuckle when it turns off while they are telling me.
