Default Rattle

Anyone have a rattle when going over bumps sounds like it's coming from between the two doors on the passenger side.

Yes, check the alignment of you door striker with the latch. It should be diretly in the middle. If you adjust the striker up or down depending on what you need it should go away. Also you door should shut better.

I have a thump that sounds like a rubber ball or something inside the door somewhere in the drivers back door or the column between the drivers side doors. Anyone hear this?

I think I just developed the same rattle on my Rubi Unlimited. How did you eliminate yours?

To update my own post, I wrapped the metal loop on the striker plate with black electrical tape then sprayed silicone spray on the door's locking mechanism. Net result? While it does take a harder slam to close the door, it appears the rattle is gone. I'll keep watching it and report back after a few more days.

Default Rattle fixed... for now at least

Well, the dealer replaced the plastic panel on the inside (you know, the cheap stuff that scratches with your fingernail? ) and the "window regulator assembly" on my driver's door and the rattling has stopped.

So, I guess there are a few different causes for the rattling. My front doors do stick out a little on the bottom, but they shut right. I'm glad they figured out the rattling, though.... it was driving me nuts.

Its true. American craftsmanship really ain't what it used to be...kinda sad too.

If you haven't figured it out yet, I'd check the plastic on the driver door below the door lock. Mine is loose toward the front of the door.
