Just did that this morning and wow, what a difference. You have to know Jeep knows about this BUT at the same time, if they fix the problem then, in a way, they admit fault in the bad design...

Last thing I still need to figure out is the taille in the rear. I think it's the area on the hard top where the lines plug in.

Remember, you can take the doors off! Little tape is no biggie!

Just taped the drivers door.. 2011 hfor me..

I will see if it works tomorrow.. At this point i assume that this thunk, clunk etc. that everyone is discussing is my issue also. To me it almost sounds like the door seal slapping against the door jam, but its a thunky sounding sound for sure.. Not one sound from any other part of the vehicle except the drivers door. .. Hopefully now gone.

I took my into the dealer and they put new latch in my driverside door. All the other ones were good for now. Now my damn seal around my window squeaks. Drives me crazy right in my ear.

While I was waiting for the latch to come in from the dealer, I adjusted my striker down, so the latch was sitting on it and it stopped the thunk. I would only notice it on certain bumps.

I do notice the handle is a bit "loose" , not the latch.. But i cant replicate the sound from the from the handle (exterior) so i figure its a non issue for now.
