Rattle fixed... finally!
This is embarrassingly simple but the chronic rattle in my A-pillar turned out to be just a loose bolt. There's two holes in the top of the plastic cover over the A-pillar; one has a phillips screw head showing, the other a bolt. The latter managed to wiggle itself loose and was causing the most annoying rattle! Just a quick turn and it's fixed! You don't even have to remove anything.
Thought I'd pass this along and hopefully save someone else from completely dismantling their dash, like I did.

It was a more of a plastic rattle. A hard plastic like a moulding or dash component, which is why I took the dash apart. Also thought it sounded like it was coming from behind the dash which is why I took the cowl off. Starting to sound like a tweaker but seriously it was annoying and was getting worse every day. Its hard sometimes to figure out where noises are coming from which is also frustrating. This is so rediculously easy though, its worth checking if you're having any rattles from the A-pillar or left dash area. Start with the easy things... And you won't be a dipshit like me.
How bout this one. This pristeen JK never had one rattle in it, then one day it started. Sounded like it was coming from the dash and would occur when sharp bumps were struck. Went on and on and I or the passenger couldn't locate it. On and on and on it went but long story short it was the 16' steel tape that fit nicely in the driver door pocket.
My turn. I couldn't quite place the source of the rattle, it was either the A pillar or dash. Narrowed it down to the driver's side, turned the radio down everytime the rattle started. Did this for weeks. One day my son points up at the visor. It was the garage door opener rattling.
