Did You by any chance washed the jeeb just before you heared the rattle ?? the reason I ask is I just cleaned mine yesterday ... And I cleaned the fenders and since all they have is clips holding them that could be it... I'll check mine tomorow.. I hate rattles .... hope this helps

its the latch of the rear gate .. I covered the latch with a small amount of Black Tape and the rattle changed so then I added a lot more and now the rattle is gone... Tomorow I'll adjust the latch so I can remove the tape from it ..

FYI

I also had clunk coming from the rear of the Jeep - on mine it turned out to be a loose bolt on the lower end of the sway bar link, drivers side, rear...

think one of the thumping sounds may be heat related and caused when the soft top stretches? i can reproduce by switching air from recycle to fresh - get 4-6 'thumps' everytime. same sound can be manually reporduced by 'thumping' fingers on the underside of top. not sure how to fix - there is a service bulletin out for one of the 'thump/knocking' issues. good luck

This fixed my rattle as well, although I'm not quite sure how to adjust the latch, other than tightening the Torx screws, which I'd already done.

Use the torx bit and loosen them just enough to move. This is the metal loop on the body panel not the door latch itself. You want to get the doors aligned with the body panels, when closed, and easy to open and close. Not to hard to do....
Oh yeah, no rattles now....

I had to do the same thing to the driver's door... was driving me nuts... after adjustment, no more rattle.

yeah i'm getting a wierd rattle too...mainly over bumps from speeds of 5mph and up. almost sounds like its coming from the bottom part of my door or somewhere around there. drives me nuts and my girlfriend doesn't ever hear it so she's thinking i'm crazy...maybe one the past suggestions will fix it.

I had a rattle on the rear driver side door, after two days of aggravation, I found it. Rear door window handle was bouncing up and down cause window was not all the way up. It has slack in it and if the window is not rolled all the way up it tends to bouce more.
