Rear Cargo area always wet
2009 4door Saharah
I switched out the soft top for the freedom hardtop recently for winter. Now the back cargo area is always wet in two spots. In both rear corners, right by the rear gate, it is always wet. I am in Seattle so it has been wet out every day since I changed it out. I havn't been able to leave the jeep in a dry spot long enough to see if it would eventually dry out.

|wet...........wet|
-----Rear gate----|
I tried looking at the seals and I don't see anything weird. I don't see where anything around the window seal is wet. When I get home I was thinking about loosening the top and trying to slide it forward a bit (is that even possible?)
Anyone else have this problem?

I have a 2010 w/hard top and noticed it gets wet on the right side in the same spot as your diagram shows. I noticed a small tear in the right corner of the weatherstripping on the rear glass. I sealed that with some clear silicone and it stopped the leak.
I had the issue with water near my sub. I just adjusted my swing gate (snugged it in closer & tighter to the tub. Just move your swing gate latch/striker inwards towards the backseats to snug it up. Also, I added some rubber gasket conditioner to the rubber seals and it stopped the leak.
Also, as mentioned above, check to see if you got a tear on the window seal....I noticed you have to be careful about making sure your swing gate is fully opened before you open the back window as the rubber seal seems to rub or get caught on the swing gate if it's only partially opened.
Get a ziptie to snug up the hose line to the nipple! this should help with your washer fluid to not leak into the tub
