Tint the windows.. And if they have the factory tint on them go over that as well... The same happened to me... Since I tinted all the windows, even the the whole windshield ... I never had the problem again..

Had this happen when moving a car that had been out in sub freezing temps into a heated shop. A few minutes later bang! sounded like a backfire. Looked around to see what happened and noticed the rear window had shattered but was still in place. As soon as I touched it the small shards of glass dropped into the rear seat of the car. Uneven temperature change possibly combined with a flaw in the glass is my guess.

take it to your new dealer with your receipt, that is your proof of temporary repairs. If warranty won't cover it, your comprehensive on your auto policy will.
