she had problems backing up our TSX with a back up camera so i'm probably screwed regardless. but it gives me an excuse to take something apart.
Have she gotten her eyes/vision check ?

I took her to a neurologist but unfortunately they said everything was normal for a female...

What did you guys use to plug the holes? I just found some plastic caps that I was going to put a bead of silicone around.

LOL, better hope she's not a member here or you'll be sleeping in your Jeep.

My mother has never performed a reverse (parallel) park in the 44 years she has been driving. She bribed the testing officer 20 bucks (a fair bit of money back in the mid 60s) so he would pass her and ever since has just driven around and around until she finds a parking space she can just drive straight in to without reversing.

She claims that it is because she is only 5"0' tall and all the cars back then were so big (pre '73 oil crisis) that she could never see out the back of them; maybe, but the above neurologist analogy seems the likely cause...

what did you guys do with the harness and washer fluid line? i don't mind cutting the washer line but maybe not the harness.
That rear washer line is connected to your windshield washer tank under the hood. There should be a disconnect with a plug over by the left side rear of the hardtop somewhere for the harness and washer line. Don't know how I'd survive traffic and parking lots without the washer and wiper. If she can't see with them on a clear day she'll sure as heck back into something when she can't see out the glass because it's trashed out filthy from a rain.

Just went to the local ace and picked up a couple plastic hole plugs. Just a little clear kwik seal around them. Been 6 months and not one drop of water inside.

As far as grimey back window...I squeegee is every time I film her up. And now the wife just doesn't drive the jeep anymore!
