Wait for the recall notice or call the toll-free number. It's made the news, but Chrysler is probably still catching up with their dealers.

I have not received any information regarding the recall yet. However, It was all over the news. I highly doubt they know nothing about it. You should probably visually inspect your brake lines for signs of damage. If there are currently no signs, I would check with your dealership periodically about the recall.

Also, you will note that the manufacture date for affected vehicles extends to August of this year. That makes me think they don't have a fix yet.

Yea, I checked the wifes 07 unlimited we've had since Oct 06 and there are no signs of any chaffing or interference. I have not as yet received any recall info.

I talked to my dealer on this issue and they said they know about the problem, but chrysler hasn't released how they want to address the fix.

I just check the jeep site and they have not updated my jeep yet. So they are still thinking about it. Maybe they want to come up with a better fix than cut the inner fenders. LOL yeah right!

my dealer knew nothing about it i told her it was all over the news she says " the media get the info before we do" come back next week to see......mine isnt chaffing and im not going to waste my time going back to the dealer to see if they found out about it ,and for them to do some cheap ass fix like cutting the inner fender to bits. Every time i go to the dealer they fix 1 thing and break another. my 2 cents.
