Question Red Mud Removal

questionoes anyone know the best way to get the mud stains (Red Clay from Camp Jeep)out of the plastic fenders? They've been washed once with soap and hot water but I can still see spots from where the mud was. I wouldn't care if the Jeep was older but I'd like it to look sorta knew for the first year.:

try using Mother's Back to Black on them. i would guess that those areas probably look that way because they are dried out from the mud, not because they are actually still dirty.

I don't know for sure if it will take out stains from red clay, but I have been using meguiars #39 Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner for years. It has never failed to take out a stain. I spray it on, then work it in with a medium stiffness brush. Wipe with a terry towel and repeat if necessary. I would then follow up with meguiars trim detailer. Makes plastic and vinyl parts look new again. I hate to sound like an infomercial for them, but I have been using all their products for years and I love them! I hope this helps!

I had the same problem from Camp Jeep. After a few washes with a sponge they were still stained. I then tried a scrub brush, soap and water and they came out like new. I did the same thing on the soft top and bumpers since the clay had tried there too.

My driveway is still red though, reminds me of how much fun I had.

Good luck with that....

In oklahoma that's all we have. The only thing that makes red clay go away is sun bleaching

Same proiblame here. Check this out! I used Orange Citrus Cleaner and it came right out. Had to rip out the carpets and throw them away. I'm rhino lining it tomorrow. BTW...if you rip out the carpeting, you can hit the seats with the Orange Cleaner and then take a pressure washer right to the seats. They dry in less than 2 hours in the sun.
