Default replacing u joints & ball joints...

so i went wheeling yesterday and checked my stuff my u joints are shot lots of play, i am very lucky they didn't fail and tear up the axle ears... so i need new u joints, was thinking of some spicer 760's for my dana 30, or is there another inexpensive replacement that someone can recommend?

also i started having a little death wobble so i'm just guessing i need new ball joints, i haven't got it up in the air yet to check the ball joints/wheel bearings, but since i have to change the u joints why not change both... i found these, they seem to have a zerk fitting which is good, if one of the site sponsors can match the price i'll buy from them, or does anyone else have a good place to buy replacement ball joints that are NOT oem? but not 500$ for ball joints either... i also read that the tj ball joints and jk are the same is that true?

also have to look for the ball joint press tool, i don't think this will be the last time i'm going to change these parts...

wow no one has anything to say about this?

well i got the axles out and the u joins out, when the axle was in the air the wheel bearing and ball joints feel solid. the needle bearings where all bone dry rusted and one didn't have any needles in it... i'm going to change the ball joints anyway with greasable ones since i got it apart anyway... the thing only has like 10,500 miles on it...

Here's a write-up on a Dynatrac install (link), and another on general information (link).

Have you looked at the steering stabalizer for your death shakes?

The steering stabalizer is neither the cause nor the cure for deathwobble.

looks like when i took off the tire some of the weights where missing so i got to get the tire rebalanced thats probably where the shakes where coming from... i will let eveyone know if the ball joints are compatible from 1987-2010... (which i think they are)

the ball joints seemed ok... u joints where shot thats what happens when you can't grease anything... but when i'm done i'll be able to grease most everything...
