Default reuseable diff gasket?

hey all was wondering if anyone has feedback on this reusable diff gasket. LubeLocker - LubeLocker Gaskets . reason i ask is i was at the dealer taking care of a smog recall l35 so i could register the jeep. they told me that my f/r diff are brown and also i might want to flush my (auto) tranny at 38000 mil. i spaced a sec and almost said ok but i said no ill do it my self.

thanks in advance

I am running them and so far I like them. After scraping the diffs on rocks with the RTV the factory uses, they would weep - not with the LubeLockers. I also like that I can remove and replace the diff covers at will without dealing with the RTV mess.

Lube lockers are great. No need to get all messy with RTV! North ridge does a combo sale with lube lockers and arb diff covers! Christmas is getting close!!

The only thing I didn't like about lube lockers is that they are difficult to put and hold in place especially while trying to line up the heavy aftermarket diff covers, I did it by myself but an extra hand would have saved me alot of difficulty.

Get a piece of speaker wire maybe 4 or 5" long, then strip the coating off and grab a few individual strands of copper wire. Then tie the lube locker to the cover, put a few of the diff bolts in and untie the wire and pull it out then install the rest of the bolts and tighten them up

I use them also and love them, they eliminate the rtv mess, brake clean fumes, and do hold up better when scraping on rocks. My only complaint is they don't make one for the pro rock housing!!! (hint, hint)

Thanks a lot. I have done it many times working on cars and stuff but I didnt do it for my diff covers, I went with the tradional rtv. When its time to change diff oil I will probably get some lube lockers
