Default Revised Stall Bug Poll

I keep reading that many Automatic JKs get the stall. This poll should show us if the stall bug happens more to autos or manuals.

Auto tranny. Stalled twice in 3500 miles (though not lately). Keeping my fingers crossed.

I have an early build 4 door Rubi with an automatic. It has stalled twice, none recently though.

Sounds more scary than weird to me. I assume you had to pull over to restart? Do most of these stalls happen while people are driving at speed vs. at a stop light? In a manual can't you pop the clutch to restart the engine if you're at speed?

I think mine stalled to wait for the rest of the JK's to catch up. Now that more people have theirs, it doesnt stall so much.

Think about it, you're already in gear with the ignition on at speed, it seems like it'd restart itself right away.
